Why Sommeliers?

Beyond their expert knowledge, their job is to be at the forefront of their industry, knowing which wineries, restaurants, food experiences shine in their region. They often have personal connections with the people themselves. At DeWolf Food and Drink Experiences we believe the best experiences are rooted in the connection between people. Sommeliers also are accustomed to dealing with people on a daily basis. Their job is to make their guest happy.

Salvatore Castano, Italy

Salvatore is the reigning ASI Best Sommelier of Europe & Africa. Born and raised in Sicily, near the slopes of Mt. Etna, he left there as a young adult to travel the world.

In doing so he discovered his passion for food and wine. He has worked through Italy, and Europe, at various prestigious restaurants and resorts. He currently is a wine consultant and buyer for Friarwood Fine Wines in London, England.

Gaby Pozo,
Ecuador

Gaby Pozo is a sommelier, President of the Ecuador Sommelier Association, as well as the CEO and co-founder of MUZE.

MUZE is an organic, vegan and bean-to-bar chocolate crafted at origin. Gaby works with farmers and their families to help rise them out of poverty and generate sustained growth.
